All shifts are 4 hours long, minimun 2 shifts required (Discription of volunteers needed)

Ticket Booth Sales – There will be a total of three ticket booths selling food and beverage tickets.  Three volunteers will be staffed at each booth at all times.  Two volunteers will support one cash handler, so as only one person will be responsible for handling cash at each booth.

Beer Sales – Must be 21 or older, and bartending experience is a plus.  There will be 9 volunteers working at the same time on each shift.  One supervisor will also tap beer.  One volunteer is needed to card guests.  Six volunteers will tap beer for guests.  Two volunteers will collect tickets at end of line after guests have received their beer.

Marktplatz – One coordinator and two volunteers are needed in the Retail Vendor “Marktplatz” area.  These volunteers will be responsible for meeting the needs of the retail vendors and guests.  Responsibilities include checking in retail vendors, and providing vendors coverage for their booth during bathroom breaks.

Partnerstadt – One volunteer is needed during all shifts to help the Partnerstadt Site Supervisor and Partnerstadt Stage Manager with the smooth operation of the activities in this area.

Gates – Two volunteers are needed at the Zentrumplatz gate during all shifts, and one volunteer is needed at the VIP / Hospitality Tent gate.  These volunteers will greet guests and check buttons at the entrance to Zentrumplatz, and check invitations at entrance to VIP / Hospitality tent.

Information Booth – Two volunteers are needed at the the information booth during each shift.  These volunteers will provide information to guests, including maps. Rover- Must be willing to work wherever needed.

Clean Up Crew – 2 volunteers are needed at every shift to do constant grounds cleanup, emptying trash, etc.

Site Supervisors – A Site Supervisor will be responsible for the operation of one of the four Sommerfest areas.  The sites are:  Zentrumplatz, Marktplatz, Kinderplatz, and Partnerstadt.  This includes, but is not limited to, checking in and managing all volunteers in your area, and ensuring a safe and pleasurable environment for all.  Site Supervisors will report directly via a walkie-talkie to Sommerfest Directors, and will coordinate all necessary information about the venues to him / her.  Report 2 hours prior to start.

Stage Manager – The 3 Stage Managers are responsible for all performers at their site’s stage.  This individual will assure smooth transition of performances, make opening remarks, introduce the performers, and thank the site sponsors.  Stage Manager will be responsible for performer hospitality and the stagehands.  Report 1 hour prior to scheduled time.

Stagehands – The stagehands general responsibility is to assist the entertainers with set-up and takedown of their equipment.  They report directly to the Stage Manager.  Stagehands ultimate goal is to ensure that the performers have a pleasant experience.  Report 1 hour prior to scheduled time.  May require heavy lifting.

Hospitality Tent Hosts – Hosts are needed to tend to the needs of Sponsors in the Hospitality / VIP tent.  They will report to the Zentrumplatz Site Supervisor.

Dressing Room Tent – A host is needed for the band’s dressing room tent.  Responsibilities include room set up and clean up between bands, providing bands with anything they request, and serving them food and drinks.
